Rainy Weather Roof Protection

During this rather rainy summer, let's look at how to protect the roof:

1. Clear debris from the roof, so that rain does not cause any clogs in the drain or puddling on the roof's surfaces.

2. Check the gutters. Be sure that their downspouts are placed appropriately and the gutters (and the areas around them) are cleared of debris.

3. Ensure that seals for windows, including any skylights, are reinforced and properly air and water tight.

4. During and after a rain storm, be vigilant and examine your roof for any leaks, cracks, or damages.

5. Consult the professionals for a roof check if you notice any damages or if you have not recently had a roof inspection.
