In 2016 a 24-year-old entrepreneur, Ben Schlabach, took over Green Improvements and made it his own. Ben brings farm-raised work ethics to the commercial roofing community in Elkhart, Goshen, Warsaw, South Bend and beyond.
As a rapidly growing commercial and industrial building service company based in Middlebury, Green Improvements specialize in waterproofing and restoring existing commercial low slope metal and rubber roofs with various types of fluid applied, bright white and seamless systems.
While commercial roofing is our specialty, we also provide exterior building envelope services. A building's envelope is the exterior of the building that repels the elements which include the roof, sidewalls, exterior windows, skylights, man doors and overhead doors. Inspecting the envelope of a building identifies any weak spots in the tightness of the building, which can lead to heat loss.

WHAT IS THE CRITERIA TO BE CONKLIN PREFERRED? GLAD YOU ASKED!
Crews are required to personally complete extensive training courses. Green Improvements agrees to roof evaluations conducted by Conklin roofing inspectors. And to become a certified installer, the company agrees to get their projects inspected along with Conklin corporate interviewing clients before a Conklin approval for Preferred is given! All crew members must also comply with the Conklin roofing methodology.
